LARC Nurse

Location - Andover and Winchester 

Contract - Permanent and Bank hours available

Pay - £22.00 - £28.00 per hour depending on experience, NHS Pension available

Mid Hampshire Healthcare are launching a new Specialist  Hub to support our NHS Healthcheck, Community Liver Fibroscan and Long Acting Reversible Contraception (Coils and Implants) services.

We are looking for experienced contraceptive nurses to support the provision of our LARC services to include cervical screening, contraceptive implant and coil procedures. This new service will offer additional and accessible appointments to the patients within the Mid Hampshire Healthcare localities and the nurse will be supported by a Healthcare Assistant in clinic where required.

As a training organisation, MHH are keen to support the development of nurses within these extended roles and welcome applications from nurses who currently only deliver implant services but are willing to expand their skills further into coil services.

We have both permanent and bank opportunities available.

Training and on going support will be provided for the right candidate.

Care Coordinator - Alresford/Mansfield Park Surgery

Location - Alresford Surgery, Winchester (likely weekly travel to Mansfield Park Surgery)

An opportunity for a caring,  efficient and effective admininstrator in a role as care coordinator within our Proactive Care Team has become available. The Care Coordinator will work as an integral part of two GP surgeries; working alongside two PCT Nurses (based out of Alresford Surgery and Mansfield Park Surgery). They will develop joint ways of working with the community to maximise the use of resources available, avoid duplication and share information to ensure the patient receives the best community care and access to services that will support them staying in their home environment.

GP Improved Access - Healthcare Assistant

Hours - Sessions available 5pm - 8pm weekdays and 8am and 12pm (midday) at weekends

Our vision is to enhance the delivery of healthcare services for the 220,000 patients within our local area and in partnership with our 18 Member Practices we create and improve Primary Care and Community Based services where possible and are in our gift to do so. Our GP Hub based in Andover provides routine appointments to patients in the evening or over a weekend to enable better access to healthcare in our area.

Our HCA’s are an integral part of the nursing team who are vital in supporting Primary Care GP’s and Practice Nurses in our locality. MHH pride ourselves in high quality care and receive excellent patient satisfaction feedback.

Candidates should ideally have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent although full training will be given to the right candidate.

GP Improved Access - Service Manager

Location - Basepoint Business Centre, Winnall and Andover War Memorial Hospital

Pay - £28050.00 - 30070.00 (WTE pay range based on previous experience)

Hours - 30 to 37.5 per week (applicant can negotiate) - does include evening and weekends

The purpose of this role is to maintain and further develop the GP Access Hub service based in Andover. The service was designed to deliver a GP led service that offered routine and same day primary care access to patients in the evening and over weekends. Our service offers appointments between 17:00 – 20:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 – 12:00 Saturdays and Sundays.

The Hub is located at Andover War Memorial Hospital and this role is to manage the current service and work with the Implementation and Improvement Manager to develop it further, improve efficiencies and support the service transition into the West Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group (WHCCG) plan of an Urgent Treatment Centre. The post holder will be based primarily at MHH Head Offices in Winnall but will be required to work at Andover War Memorial Hospital when needed. The post holder will also be supported by an Admin Support Lead.

Due to the nature of the role, some evening and weekend work will be required.
