DIAL-A-RIDE WINCHESTER

Dial a Ride is a door to door transport service designed for elderly or disabled people who, for whatever reason, find it difficult to use public transport, and who live in an area served by Dial a Ride.

COST: Fares are based on a system similar to local bus fares. You pay the driver just as you would on a bus

TEST VALLEY COMMUNITY SERVICES

If there is one common theme that crops up time and again as an issue for voluntary and community groups, it is “Transport”!
Getting to and from meetings, doctor’s surgeries, shops, employment, entertainment etc is a problem for anyone who cannot easily access public or private transport. Those particularly affected include young people, those with disabilities, older people and young families who all live throughout Test Valley, from the remotest rural areas, right to the heart of the two main towns of Andover and Romsey.
The Test Valley Community Transport Scheme is run by TVCS with funding from Hampshire County Council and Test Valley Borough Council. It has been established to provide:

a co-ordinated approach to community transport in Test Valley
new services to meet the needs of people who have poor access to public or private transport.

ANDOVER NEIGHBOUR CARE

Services include Hampshire Social Services, The Stroke Club, VIP's, Choices and the Lunch Club at St Anne's Hall every Monday.

WINCHESTER & DISTRICT SCOPE

Financial support through grants to individuals or families, towards equipment, TRANSPORT, therapy, holidays or crisis situations. Can put people in touch with Scope response workers for their area through Scope Response at Helpline 0808 8003333
