THE GOOD CARE GROUP |
We believe that home care helps people live well at home for longer. It avoids the trauma of upheaval and provides specialist, professional care in the comfort of home. Our dedicated live-in carers and a supportive, managed service helps people maintain their independence for as long as possible. Independence, dignity and choice For someone who needs care, moving in later years to a place that is unfamiliar and strange, can cause significant trauma. However good residential or nursing care is, the institutional nature means losing independence is inevitable. By choosing home care, people who need care can: Stay more in control over life for longer Benefit from having their routines, privacy and preferences respected and listened to Maintain relationships and family life - seeing friends and family in a relaxed and familiar environment for everyone, Keep up with hobbies, interests and clubs in your local community Use home surroundings to stimulate care - such as the ground-breaking SPECIAL method for dementia And for couples who both require care, home care is a cost-effective choice. We only charge a nominal increase for two people. Familiar and safe surroundings We passionately believe that most people want to stay in their homes for as long as possible. Home is where your memories, belongings, treasured things, garden and pets are. Home is where the family is used to coming to visit you and where your community can support you. And especially for people with dementia, this familiarity is hugely important to overall health and well-being. When it’s time to think about long-term care and support for clients and their families, we know how important it is to understand what care at home involves before decisions are made. We understand that when you need to find a carer, it can be a stressful time. We're here to help. If you'd like to find out more about care options, you can have a confidential talk to one of our friendly team at any time.
