During the COVID-19 epidemic, Mid Hampshire Healthcare are working closely with our Member Practices to support them, particularly around workforce pressures. Our GP Triage Crisis Support service enables any of our Practices to receive same day support with their triage work by deploying a GP to work remotely and manage this workload.
Pulling together the clinician capacity of our Practices alongside predicted demand each morning enables us to have a clear picture of General Practice across all four Primary Care Networks and ensure that parachute in support as soon as they need it. We have a dedicate team of Locum GPs who are set up with full access to our Practice systems enabling them to start working by 10am every morning. By taking the pressures off Practices with triage, it can free up capacity in other in demand areas such as visiting services, hot site face to face appointments or the developments of cold sites.
